Vidic, who won five Premier League titles during his time at Old Trafford, has given his verdict on the much-awaited game, stating that the current United squad could win the game 2-1, provided they match Liverpool’s “aggression and energy.”
Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said:
“It’s a big match and it would be a big boost for everyone around the club to win it, but it’s not the end of the world if we don’t.”
The former Red Devil added that a loss for his former side would not change his mind about Solskjaer, who has done a phenomenal job with the team since his arrival.
